Frequently Asked Questions

Strategic Vacations are designed for women and nonbinary leaders who want to increase their impact and do their work more sustainably.
While they may have achieved external markers of professional “success,” clients often struggle with burnout and have difficulty prioritizing their own needs and personal goals. They want more time and energy for what matters most to them.
The people who have the greatest success working with me are passionate about using their skills and strengths to help their communities, colleagues, and clients flourish.
Past clients have used their Strategic Vacations to:
Decide whether to stay or leave a job
Build programs to support women in male-dominated industries
Help physicians combat vaccine hesitancy.

We have two options!
Strategic Staycations are a facilitated vacation you can enjoy in your home or a local spot you book for the occasion.
Strategic Vacations occur in New Orleans, LA. I’m a 5th generation New Orleanian and love sharing my community’s joie de vivre (joy of life) with clients. -
I offer Strategic Vacation options at a variety of price points, depending on your goals. Prices start at $1,650 for a virtual retreat and two-month coaching engagement.
-
ACCESSIBILITY
Like many New Orleans venues, the coaching space is raised off the ground and has 4 stairs to access the main entrance. If this is inaccessible, please let me know, and I will identify an alternative location. The coaching space features central HVAC and a HEPA air purifier.
To meet sensory needs, I offer fragrance-free options, fidget toys, and blackout curtains.
INCLUSION
I have experience working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodiverse clients and am committed to being in active community and/or authentic solidarity with my clients.
Since each person’s experience in the workplace and the world is affected by multiple, overlapping identities, I’ll share some of mine. I’m a White, queer, able-bodied, cisgender woman with a master’s degree and ADHD. I’m in my early 40s, and my wife and I have a young kiddo.
I strive to recognize my ample privilege and listen closely to the experiences of those who don’t share my identities. And it’s important to name the lens through which I experience the world each day.
Strategic Vacations may not align with the budgets of potential clients who I’d love to support. I offer frequent free programs and the lower-cost option of the Strategic Staycation.
Q&A with a Recent Strategic Vacationer: Lindsay Cameron, M.D.
What prompted you to book your Strategic Vacation?
I booked my Strategic Vacation because I felt overwhelmed by the constant demands of work and home. I felt ready to make a change but didn’t have time to strategize.
How did you feel after?
My Strategic Vacation helped me find clarity and confidence.
It was also a true escape. The combination of structured time with integrated movement, down time to decompress, and creative time was exactly what I needed. The weekend helped me better articulate who I am and the impact I want to have.
How has it impacted you after?
Now I’m less anxious from my day-to-day. It’s been liberating to have a better idea of who I am and my direction. I’ve made a lot of changes, personally and professionally.
I’m more relaxed and motivated, with a better sense of myself.
What would you like people to know about Strategic Vacations?
The world doesn’t know how to support working moms who want to have a career and make an impact. Lelia does.
Working with Lelia makes me a better physician, mother, wife and a better world citizen.
